So I sold some gold coins and the dude slipped me 4 50 dollar bills from 1934!

I dealt with this guy before, he is a reputable gold dealer and in the past when I got paid cash, I always got old bills from them
(bills from the 90's, maybe 80's)

I saw he was hiding them as he was counting, but I didnt mind cause I like handling older bills for a bit.
Provided I can eventually deposit it in a bank.

Will banks even accept them? Or where do I go with them?

If the bank is not familiar with the notes (because of their age) will they just take them from me before I can even determine whether they are fake or not (I doubt they are fake tho)

Not the 50 dollar bills. Up to 20 only, I believe.

My only worry really is that the teller wont know what she is looking at and will just take it from me before we can verify.

My branch has a whole bunch of Eastern European workers with questionably English speaking skills.

My other related question about "my guy" is that he ALWAYS gives me old bills. Mostly 90's and early 2000's
(lets say I got like 20K worth of 100 dollar bills from him over the last few years. He never gave me a "new" 100 dollar bill yet)

Where does he get them from?

Is he like laundering for the mob or something???

Possibly slightly.

They also deal with stuff like that. He wouldnt have given them to me, if that would be the case.
(he knew what he had)

The bills are not in horrible shape but far far from crisp.

I emailed them, he said a bank should take them and on ebay they could go for like 60-70 bucks.

Since they are kinda bullshitters, I am very certain no premium.

Since they are not PSA certified I know someone who might give you $25 a piece but he would need to check them out

What I am gathering is that a bank should accept them (most likely on a conditional basis, that they will send it to verify them)

I am just dying to see the puzzled look on the manager's face as I am trying explain my case. LOL
